Hans Van Gompel advises our clients in the firm’s core areas of expertise, commercial and corporate law. Hans Van Gompel also has many years of experience in M&A transactions in Belgium. Among other things, he carries out due diligences for our clients, assists both buyers and sellers in the acquisition process and advises on purchase agreements.

Hans graduated in law from the KU Leuven. He then specialised in international business law at the University of Paris V (D.E.S.S. Juriste d’Affaires Internationales).

Hans started his career at Loeff Claeys Verbeke (now Allen & Overy) in Brussels. He is a member of the editorial board of Limburgs Rechtsleven and a deputy judge at the corporate courts of Hasselt and Tongeren.

He is the author of numerous publications and regularly gives seminars on topics in his field of expertise.

As a certified mediator, Hans has a special interest in ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolutions). He focuses on the resolution of commercial and corporate disputes. He is also regularly involved in arbitration proceedings, both as counsel for one of the parties and as a member of the arbitral tribunal.

Hans advises our clients in Dutch, German, English and French.
