Thomas Hermie is a tax lawyer specialising in indirect taxes, especially VAT, with respect to Belgium and Luxemburg.

Thomas covers the entire spectrum of indirect taxes with a special focus on e-commerce and digital economy, construction industry, real estate/property management, automotive, heavy industry and production/industrial plant projects, pharmaceutical and medical industry and general supply chain management. He also has expertise in the field of customs, excises, energy, road and environmental taxes (e.g. CO2 taxes and take-back obligations of producers/importers of certain products).

Thomas obtained his Master of Laws degree cum laude from the University of Ghent in 2008. He then specialised further during the Master in Tax Law (Ghent University, 2009) before graduating as LL.M. in International Tax Law at the International Tax Center in Leiden (the Netherlands).

After several years of experience as a tax lawyer at firms such as Tiberghien, KPMG (in Belgium and Germany) and our partner firm THG, Thomas has been part of our firm since 2022.
