Sofie Jacobs is mainly active in tax law and commercial law. In the context of tax law, she has a particular interest and specialisation in international taxation. Sofie can advise you in the context of setting up a particular transaction or activity, such as, for example, expanding your business to Belgium, managing and planning your (international) assets or obtaining expat status. In addition, Sofie can assist you in tax disputes when the Belgian tax authorities question certain transactions.

Thanks to her knowledge of international tax law, Sofie is perfectly placed to clarify the tax issues for foreign companies that are active, or wish to become active, in Belgium.

Sofie obtained her Master’s degree in Law in 2016 at the KU Leuven, after which she graduated with distinction as Master in Taxation (KU Leuven, 2017).

Since 2019, Sofie has been a lecturer at Maastricht University and teaches European contract law at Hasselt University.

Sofie advises our clients in Dutch, English and German.

Sofie has been a member of the Limburg Bar since 2017 and is a co-founder of Euregio Law & Tax.
